Milestone Management is an artist management company based in Dublin, Ireland.
With a history of working with both Irish and international acts, we have
developed a reputation as an artist-friendly company whose main focus is always
on providing high quality musicians with a platform to develop their careers
and to assist them in reaching a larger audience internationally.
Our approach to every artist we work with is to offer a broad representation
service which covers each element of the artist’s recording and performing
career including executive production of the recording process, negotiation
and development of relationships with record labels, digital distributors,
publishing companies, and booking agents worldwide.
Our central aim with the acts we work with is to ensure that their music and
performance receives a high level of exposure to the audience we feel they
need to reach. While we do run a core roster of key acts as a management company,
our business does also on occasion provide services for artists on a project
by project basis.
Please see our Services page for specific details on the management services
we provide.
Some of the artists we have worked with and still work with are as
follows:
Dublin Gospel Choir
‘DOING THEIR THING’
Brand new album out now on CD and download
“An annual must-see of Electric Picnic – who’d have thought gospel would be this cool?” (Irish Times)
“Gladdens the heart and brings a smile to the face……Uplifting stuff” (Hot Press)
“Ireland’s foremost gospel musicians” (Metro)
The hand clapping, foot stomping Dublin Gospel Choir start 2010 with a real sense of purpose after the very successful release of their brand new album ‘DOING THEIR THING’ back in November. Packed full of true gospel classics and surprising future favourites, The Dublin Gospel Choir bring the album on tour all over Ireland, and further afield, in 2010.
Not too many Irish acts, let alone international ones, can boast of sharing the stage with music industry heavyweights such as Rod Stewart, John Legend, Damien Rice, and The Chieftains. But that is exactly what the Dublin Gospel Choir has achieved over the last few years.
From their modest beginnings as a local school choir in Dublin’s inner city 13 years ago, they have become a household name in Ireland, playing a host of concerts each year, plus a large number of corporate and charity events. Add to that their annual slot at Ireland’s internationally-acclaimed boutique festival Electric Picnic (at which they played the Main Stage again in 2009) and a performance to a sell-out 82,000 crowd at Croke Park in 2008, and you have a group of people who are really going places.
The choir also featured along with Chris de Burgh on a special New Year’s Day BBC Songs of Praise programme which was broadcast to over 35million viewers worldwide. Whereas the religious audience is one target market for them, the Dublin Gospel Choir seems to have broad appeal. Collaborations with people like Damien Rice and Paddy Casey have also won them a much younger audience and one that remains a large part of their audience at shows right across Ireland. They were also invited by Rod Stewart to join him for two great nights at the RDS.
‘DOING THEIR THING’ IS AVAILABLE NOW ON CD AND DOWNLOAD

Hoarsebox
In 2009 things really took off for Hoarsebox. The band embarked on two highly successful US mini-tours promoting their EP Cuckooland, selling out well-known club circuit venues in New York such as Arlene’s Grocery and the Mercury Lounge. As an indicator of how sought-after the band are now becoming, Hoarsebox were also featured as Artist to Watch by Clear Channel (the world largest radio station owner) on their global website for the entire month of April 2009.
Following the industry scrum that emerged for the band this year, plans were finalized this Autumn with world renowned producer Dennis Herring to work with Hoarsebox on their debut album scheduled for release in Spring 2010. Herring, who has produced seminal albums from bands such as Modest Mouse, The Hives, Counting Crows to solo artists such as Elvis Costello, works from his studio in Mississippi where the band have already begun working with him on pre-production and where recording itself for the album will commence in February 2010.
In addition to their activity in the US, December 09 also saw Hoarsebox record two new singles with well-known Irish producer Ken McHugh (of Autamata fame) which are currently being released as a Double A-side to fans online.
Well known for their creative approach in reaching out to fans, 2009 also saw Hoarsebox become the first music act to avail of digital media and internet company DV4's new iPhone application, ‘Band in the Hand.' The application, which is available as a free download to iPhone users, is aimed at helping Hoarsebox keep in touch with their fans. Currently, the app includes Hoarsebox news, songs, biographies and videos, and includes features such as ‘Ask The Band', which allows fans to send questions directly to the band. These questions are then answered by the band in a weekly video which is released via the application.
The band also recently heard news that some of the music will be featured in the next series of hit US TV show The Lazy Environmentalist, which airs on the Sundance Channel.
The band’s new singles Work Party and Inside Out are now available online.
- “Infectious, feel-good music and sublime vocal harmonies are the order of the day courtesy of Hoarsebox and their debut EP Cuckooland” -- Life Times Review, March 2009
- “Hoarsebox have hit the nail on the head with their Cuckooland EP. Five gleeful songs that don't try to beat a smile onto your face. It just happens. It's sunny Saturday morning music. The inclusion of all four members on vocals is superb in making each tune sound fresh” – Drop D Music Journal, March 2009
- "One of Ireland’s most interesting live acts” – The Irish Star, November 2008
- “The boppy b-side, 'Do it to the Letter' solidifies the band's winning formula. The choral vocals combined with punchy guitar and piano will have you tapping, clapping and singing along all night” – State Magazine Ireland, July 2008

Carmel Conway
Carmel Conway is one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Ireland in a number of years. Her debut album, This Beautiful Day was released online and in Ireland at the end of 2008 and continues to be released territory by territory throughout the world with further releases lined up for 2010. Having completed a series of highly successful shows in Los Angeles, Monterey, New York, Boston and Connecticut in addition to her guest appearances with artists such as The Chieftains, Nanci Griffith and Paul Brady in both the US and Ireland, Carmel is well on the way to developing her name and profile internationally.
Having wowed audiences in Ireland and the US with her incredible vocal technique, she is setting her sights on impressing audiences further afield with the songs from her new album. Featuring a great mix of new, contemporary material and a few of her own versions of better-known songs, the album has already received glowing reviews internationally.
From a very young age, Carmel was singing songs by people like Barbara Streisand, The Carpenters and Sarah Brightman and more recently has been influenced by artists such as Josh Groban, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Randy Newman. She received private tuition from an early age and managed to develop an outstanding level of technique which never fails to impress her audiences.
In these earlier years she won many of the major vocal competitions that exist in Ireland and received consistently glowing audience reactions for her solo performances. She is as comfortable in an intimate setting as she is singing to audiences of 2,000 or more at some of the best known concert venues in the US and Ireland including Walt Disney Hall Los Angeles, The Kimmel Center Philadelphia, The National Concert Hall in Dublin, The Waterfront Hall in Belfast and University Concert Hall Limerick.
In late 2006, a change of musical emphasis saw Carmel begin preparations for her debut album, which was recorded through December 2007 and February 2008 with The Irish Film Orchestra. The album was produced by the renowned arranger / producer Fiachra Trench (Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, The Corrs and many more) and includes a selection of great songs ranging from pop ballads to contemporary roots material.
